The Eagles Rock!

I was in Toronto recently to see the Eagles at the Air Canada Centre. The concert was incredible. The harmonies were perfect, the sound in the arena was superb, and the production was phenomonal. They played for over three hours! There are few bands with the vocal and creative talent who come close.

There are so many favorite tunes. They played many of the songs from Long Road Out of Eden. This new 2-CD compilation is their first album in over 20 years, and it is very good. Of course, they also played a the 'best of' tunes from their discography. The production was incredible as were their accompanying musicians. There were two tunes I wish they would have included, "Hole in the World", and "One Day At A Time". But then again, we were treated to so many others, that I cannot complain. I have one final thought. I am amazed at how much better they are live than on their recordings.

The next time you are heading to Toronto, consider the Fairmont Royal York. This classic old hotel is a block away from the Air Canada Centre. It was remarkable to walk a block-and-a-half to hear one of the best concerts ever. It is also walking distance from many outdoor cafes and the waterfront. Toronto is an amazing city.
